S.T.E.A.M.
Welcome to Willow Grove Tigers S.T.E.A.M.
Hello. Below you will find some information about me, my background, and what I do at Willow Grove and Hatchery Hill Schools! You will also find a few videos I made which demonstrate what a lifelong learner can do. I am always learning and broadening my skillset.
You will also find links to my back to school night presentation and to some of the wonderful robotics we explore in STEAM.
In this class, projects will be goal oriented without a specified list of materials. Students will be tasked with reaching a desired outcome, how the students arrive at that outcome will be the creative learning experience. With project based learning, content is discovered as students iterate plans and ideas, learning from mistakes and failures as well as successes. Students work with the design engineering process, which allows for multiple iterations of designs with testing and possible failures. Students learn that failure is a necessary part of creating anything, and that difficult things are often the most rewarding in the end.
